The number of homes and sheds destroyed or damaged by fires in Mallacoota has risen to 185. The local CFA brigade has confirmed the losses to the ABC - the first TV crew to return to the trapped seaside town since the military evacuation mission.
People have been stuck there since the New Year's Eve firestorms and, as Ben Knight reports, many are struggling to cope in the smoky conditions.
