Vaccines have saved billions of lives around the world and overwhelming scientific evidence proves they are the best defence against many deadly infections. Yet some easily preventable diseases are making a resurgence. Hundreds of cases of measles have been reported in France, where the virus has killed at least three people since the beginning of the year. Health authorities and experts say people not getting vaccinated is one of the main causes. The 'anti-vaxxers', as they are sometimes called, reject that label and insist that they're merely sceptical.
