10 Weeks After Preserve ACL Surgery at G2 Orthopedics PRESERVE ACL Surgery developed by Dr. Vic Goradia based on what he learned about the ACL B.E.A.R.® surgery developed by Dr. Martha Murray

Dr. Goradia is with G2 Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Richmond, VA. You can visit www.G2orthopedics.com to schedule an in-person or telephone consultation with Dr. Goradia.

PRESERVE ACL Surgery is a procedure for tears of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in which the patients' ACL is preserved and repaired with interposition of an amnion "sponge" to help promote healing. This is different from traditional ACL surgery known as ACL reconstruction where the torn ACL is removed and replaced with a graft.

One goal of PRESERVE ACL Surgery is to restore better proprioception (a feeling of "balance" and "stability") to the knee. This athlete demonstrates good early strength and balance.
