What did Sydney’s lockout laws achieve and what’s changing? | ABC News Lockout laws in Sydney were introduced by the NSW government in 2014 to try and curb alcohol-fuelled violence and crime.

Almost six years later, the Berejiklian government is repealing the laws everywhere in the city except Kings Cross.

ABC News NSW state political reporter Ashleigh Raper looks at the impact the laws had on the economy, crime and nightlife, as well as what the changes will mean.
