Modifying a 1979 Martin D 28

Modifying a 1979 Martin D 28 Effect of scalloping and other modifications in a D-28.

This is a long and complicated video in which I make a series of modifications to a 1979 D-28 and A/B them one by one with the shop's Martin D-28 1941 Authentic. The idea is NOT to compare the '79 to the '41 A but to use the latter as a baseline to help gauge the changes made in the '79. Granted, I try to push the '79 closer to the '41 A, but they are completely different woods so they're always going to sound different.

Feel free to skip around and look at the individual mods you're interested in. This video is actually 3 different videos rolled up into one- I discussed and explored the '79 and discovered things as I went along.

KEEP IN MIND- the '79 JUST got scalloped and it'll really take 1-6 months for it kick in. Just listen at the direction it moved and imagine moving a little MORE that direction over time.
