How to find and expand on a fishing pattern

Often times what you think or expect to catch fish on is not what ends up actually working. I was recently down on Dale Hollow in Tennessee for a day of fun fishing. I was expecting to be able to use reaction baits like spinnerbaits and top water baits to catch some smallmouth. I ended up catching a few but found a totally different pattern that involved topwater frogging for largemouth bass. I ran with this pattern and was able to catch some good fish doing it. In this video I explain how I came about this pattern and what I did once I figured out how these Dale Hollow fish were relating.

Who is SmallmouthCrush?

Travis Manson was born and raised where the giant Smallmouth Bass of the north live...WISCONSIN. He started fishing from the bank at a young age and spent most of his childhood with a rod in his hand.
