16 year old girl in the Bronx kidnapped in front of her mother

16 year old girl in the Bronx kidnapped in front of her mother 16-year-old girl was kidnapped in front of her horrified mother as the two walked down a street in The Bronx late Monday, prompting an Amber Alert, police said.

Karol Sanchez

Video released by the NYPD on Tuesday shows the moment Karol Sanchez was snatched off the sidewalk by two men, who jumped out of a beige sedan that pulled up just before 11:30 p.m.

The teen and her mother were walking down Eagle Avenue near East 156th Street in Melrose with their umbrellas up at the time, police said.

The duo grabbed the teen and pushed her mom, 36, to the ground as she desperately tried to hold onto the girl, according to police and video.

The men fled in the car, which police said had two other men inside, down East 156th Street.

The shocking abduction left Sanchez’s mother pleading for help in the street, said area resident Shaniya Williams.

“She was out here screaming, ‘Oh my God, my daughter, my daughter, my daughter!’” said Williams, a mom of four who was headed to work Monday night when she saw the aftermath of the kidnapping.

“She was just hysterical crying. I just kept trying to talk to her,” said Williams. “She said she was looking for her.”

Customers at a nearby deli, Anthony’s Mini Market, said Sanchez’s mom eventually ran inside for aid.

“She was screaming, ‘Oh my God! Help help help! They took her, oh my God, help me!’” said one patron there at the time, who declined to give his name.

“The guy behind the counter kept asking her, ‘Who, who?’” added the customer. “She couldn’t say much. She just kept screaming and yelling.”

Sanchez is approximately 5 feet 5 and 150 pounds with short black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a short dark blue jacket, white sweater, blue jeans and black sneakers.

Police described the suspects as four adult males in their 20s, with “dark complexions” and wearing dark clothing.

An Amber Alert was issued Tuesday morning by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, as NYPD detectives were seen sifting through debris in a gutter near the intersection.
