African start-up gets 1 million U.S. dollars boost from Jack Ma

Alibaba has been busy not only with its secondary listing in Hong Kong, but also with African entrepreneurs in Ghana. Ten entrepreneurs in Africa have been honored for their innovation and drive to create solutions to some of the challenges facing the continent. Total prize money for the first annual Africa Netpreneur Prize Initiative awards was one million U.S. dollars, an initiative established by Alibaba founder Jack Ma.
