Sacramento police have a new policy on the kind of data they collect when they hold someone. The agency is working to be in compliance with a law that requires certain demographic data to be collected. Assembly Bill 953, signed into law in October 2015, sets the stage for the law enforcement changes California is seeing. The bill, known as the Racial and Identity Profiling Act, requires agencies to collect, maintain and analyze demographic data on all detentions and searches. Get the full story in the video above.
