Sunny Morning Plane Spotting at London Gatwick Airport - Part 1, 19-04-19

Sunny Morning Plane Spotting at London Gatwick Airport - Part 1, 19-04-19 It's been quite a while since I visited Gatwick, one of my favourite airports to go spotting at. The variety and constant movements is just something else here. It really is amazing how this airport runs, with planes literally taking off as another is about to land.

I definitely chose a good day to visit as well, this was in fact filmed on Good Friday, and there was an abundance of movements, and plenty of heavies about as well. The sun was out throughout with temperatures up to 22 degrees, the warmest Easter the UK has seen since 1949. To begin it was quite hazy across the runway so it was difficult to get a clear view of departures

There was a nice mixture of movements. Some of which include: Norwegian 787-9's, TUI 787's, Virgin 747's, Air Transat A330, Westjet 767, Air Baltic A220, TUI 757's, BA 777's and A320's, Vueling A321, LEVEL A321, Aurigny ATR & E195 as well as a lot more

Also plenty more footage to come in part 2 of this Gatwick visit. Look out for the BA 777 at 15:36, not sure what happened but after landing it was followed by fire trucks and an airfield ops car. The fire trucks then followed it to the gate. Interesting to see
