VELCO Weather Hazards Outlook 1-17-20 Headlines ARCTIC CHILL BUT GOOD DRY PROJECT WEATHER TODAY BEFORE SNOWFALL ARRIVES SATURDAY LATE DAY AND LINGERS INTO SUNDAY WITH FLURRIES SUNDAY NIGHT. THERE AFTER ANOTHER HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM BUILDE BACK AND BRINGS A NICE BREATHER OF SORTS WITH A LACK OF ADDITIONAL PRECI0PITATION MONDAY P[OSSIBLY THRU THE WORK WEEK NEXT WEEK. EXPECT MORE UPS AND DOWNS IN TEMPERATURE AHEAD WITH COLDEST CONDITIONS FRIDAY BUT WARMING BACK INTO THE 30S MID TO LATE NEXT WEEK. OVERALL DRIER THAN RECENTLY WITH NEAR NORMAL PRECIPITATION FOR THE PERIOD.

Dry Project Weather Best Solar: Rest of Friday – 1042 hPa cold dome of high pressure in control with decent but very frigid project weather day. Part of Saturday will also be dry and fair until late in the day when first flaks arrive from next snow storm.

Monday thru Wednesday – lowered confidence - 1035 hPa sprawling anti-cyclone will begin a nice 3 day stretch of good project weather.

Arctic Chill: Friday and Saturday morning – not extreme but cold overnight lows in the minus 5 to minus 20 degree range Saturday morning. Temperatures rebound into the teens in the afternoon.

Hydrology: Near normal precipitation indicated.

Beyond this Period: Possible reinforcing high pressure center to keep dry weather going potentially into Friday of next week
