MEPs have appealed to the United Kingdom to respect the post-Brexit legal rights of EU citizens in Britain ahead of a vote in Parliament in Strasbourg where deputies are expected to endorse a resolution on the issue. British Tory MEP Geoffrey Van Orden dismissed the concerns by MEPs as "nitpicking".
He said historically, "no country equals the United Kingdom in terms of protecting the rights, freedoms and liberties of the individual"
