While graph theory has its historical roots in mathematics (Euler), chemistry (Cayley), and electricity
(Kirchhoff), it has found modern applications in
communication, transportation, finance, criminology,
immunology, and sociology to name a few. On the other
hand, pure graph theory is a fascinating branch of
mathematics with beautiful theorems and a wealth of open
problems. The aim of this talk is to present some beautiful
results in graph theory at an elementary level.
