Sheilas' Wheels Car Insurance is underwritten by esure Insurance Limited, who are authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority

Ask any self-respecting convertible and they’ll tell you the same thing: checking you’re covered before a rainy day is a big must.

And one of the ways to keep that cover is checking your docs as soon as the policy starts and letting us know if there’s anything wrong –
then get in touch if anything changes and keep your personal details up to date. Let us know if you get new wheels, move house; change job; or make any other changes. OK, not any changes, but you know what we mean…

You need to make sure you’re covered for how you use the car, too.
A basic Social, Domestic and Pleasure policy covers day-to-day stuff like seeing friends, doing the weekly shop or a roadtrip to the beach. Hmm, just in case...

And for other business use like driving to multiple offices, events, conferences or meetings, you’ll need Business Use.
That’s not going to fit. Oh. Well done.

You may also invalidate your cover if you don’t keep your car and contents in good condition, and do your best to avoid having them stolen, damaged or lost. Nuh-ah-ah-ah…

You should always make sure your car’s roadworthy, MOT’d and legal.

If your policy allows you to drive someone else’s car, remember you’ll only have Third Party cover – so you won’t be insured for any
damage to your friends’ car. If you’re going to be driving their wheels regularly, get yourself added to their policy as a named driver.

And if your policy says you usually park in a garage, but you normally park on the road, a back alley, or outside the Gallery of High Risks To Cars, well… you may not be covered!

You can always check your cover in MyAccount, find your policy documents online, and if you need to make any changes after watching this, get in touch.
