Entrepreneur and Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang invoked his own family when asked if he would pledge to move on a permanent legislative fix for those in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program if he won the 2020 election. “Of course I would,” Yang said. “I’m the son of immigrants myself, and I know that ‘DREAMers’ are essentially Americans in everything but this legal classification.” Yang is one of the seven Democrats vying for their party's 2020 presidential nomination who met on the stage for the sixth Democratic debate on Dec. 19, hosted by the PBS NewsHour and POLITICO.
