“I was at home when I got a phone call from the people I know. They told me that there was an accident with a bus. Nobody knew exactly where and how it happened. Then somebody said that [the bus] fell off the bridge,” Pyotr Nikiforov said.

Nikiforov and his wife went to the site of the accident place.

“While we were in our way, we hoped that the accident wasn’t serious. When we got there, we saw everything. It was horrible. The bus was upside down with the roof on ice.“

Nineteen people were killed in the incident. 43 passengers and a driver were on the bus which was driving from Sretensk to Chita. The suvivors were taken to hospital.
