Yuen Yung had already gone through the business ownership process three separate times by the time him and his brother's fast-casual sushi restaurant concept had reached a deal with a shark. That unique experience in business, as well as in life, Yuen had been able to address one of the biggest challenges entrepreneurs face, and that is "Don't ever fall in love with the businesses you create."
As an entrepreneur and looking at your career from that perspective, Yuen evaluates his businesses with criteria that makes it clear on how that business can serve a purpose, make the world better, and can make some money. Developing that perspective, Yuen was able to weather the storm of losing close to six-figures in a board game business (one of his first), and even as they tested the process and how the market viewed their product, even with some high praise, only to have the game not sell.
