11 changes made to the proposed religious freedom legislation | 7NEWS

The federal government has made 11 changes to its proposed religious freedom legislation in a bid to minimise dissent and secure its passage through Parliament early next year.

These include extra protections to enable professionals to express personal beliefs, including on social media, limiting the scope for conscientious objection by medical professionals, and extending beyond schools the range of religious facilities which can discriminate on the basis of faith when hiring staff.
