RTE relies on Delair DT26X Lidar drone for power line inspection RTE is in charge of the maintenance and repair operations of its 100,000 km-long electricity transmission line network in France.
When starting to look at solutions to complement helicopters, RTE has moved to drones carrying Lidar sensors. This data is now at the core of their vegetation encroachment detection process. Delair brought the right solution to map and digitize power line corridors: the DT26 Lidar fixed-wing drone. RTE drone pilots share their experience of using it to do the job of aerial LIDAR data acquisition.
