What's Your Calling?

What's Your Calling? Part of answering the question “What’s your calling” is asking yourself what you actually want to do with your life. Another part of it is taking steps toward possible callings, because this will help you discern whether you are called to it.

Paul J. Kim spent three and a half years with the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal discerning a possible call to the priesthood. That’s what it took for him to realize that being a priest actually wasn’t what he wanted to do with his life. It took a reality check conversation with the late and great Fr. Benedict Groeschel for Paul to realize that God was calling him to be a husband and father. Now he is married with two children.

His advice for discerning God’s will: Don’t be afraid to pursue what you want, even if that means leaving behind what you thought God wanted for your life.
