Modern and Contemporary Landscape, An Artist Curated Show at PAFA

Modern and Contemporary Landscape, An Artist Curated Show at PAFA Last Thursday I went back to my beloved alma mater to check out a show called Modern and Contemporary Landscape that was put together by an old classmate of mine, Douglas Martenson.

In recent years, PAFA has hosted a series of exhibitions organized by faculty members. Since these are working artists as opposed to professional art historians or curators, they bring a different and refreshing perspective to their efforts.

Doug took me on a tour of the show. It’s exactly why I love these artist curated shows so much. Doug knows how to do things, he knows how artists achieve their effects, and his artist’s eye made for a terrific exhibition.
