180,000 People Evacuated Due to Kincade Fire; Largest Evacuation in Sonoma County History Nearly 180,000 people have had to evacuate their homes after historic winds in Northern California prompted public safety power shutoffs amid concerns of more wildfires.

The Kincade fire in Sonoma County has been burning since Wednesday and so far has consumed 30,000 acres and is 10 percent contained; 93 structures have been destroyed.
