On Friday, August 23, 2019, Rep. Lucy McBath (D-Marietta) joined Protect Our Care as part of the "Care Force One" Emergency Bus Tour at the Georgia State Capitol. Joined by activists, McBath emphasized her commitment to protecting access to care for those with pre-existing conditions and her work in the House of Representatives to stabilize the Affordable Care Act. In March, McBath joined with her colleagues in introducing the Protecting Pre-Existing Conditions and Making Health Care More Affordable Act of 2019. The legislation protects Americans with pre-existing conditions and lowers health care costs. The package also included one of McBath’s bills, the MORE Health Education Act. That bill would restore funding for ACA outreach and enrollment assistance to ensure that enrollment in the health care Marketplace is strong.
