Tropical Storm 10 forms in the Central Atlantic

Tropical Depression 10L has intensified to tropical storm status, and will be named Jerry by the National Hurricane Center imminently. However, because this has not been done yet we are calling it 10L.

The storm is expected to gradually intensify over the next several days although there are some indicators that quicker intensification is happening now.

Impacts to land remain uncertain at this point in time but parts of the Lesser Antilles, Turks and Caicos, and Bahamas are in the cone of uncertainty at this point in time. All interests in the region should monitor the development of 10L closely.
