Everyone needs to learn how to take risks in life and learn to assess which ones are worth taking and which ones are not. This is my story about some of the risks I have taken, how it has all worked out and tips on how you can do the same.
My First Big Risk Was Moving to Miami Beach All By Myself.
I moved when I was just 20 years old, with about $2000 in my pocket.
But I was determined to make it on my own, and going back home broke was the last resort but also the worst that could have happened.
Most people are scared to take risks in life. I was never much of a risk taker until I finally realized that taking risks doesn’t have to be scary.
In fact, it can be very educational for you.
Taking Risks and Making Mistakes is How We Learn.
If you were too afraid to fall off of your bike, you never would have learned to ride one because you would be too afraid to fall down.
Same when learning to walk as a baby. In order to walk, you need to take that first step. But if you never did, you never would have learned to walk because you were too afraid to fall down.
I think you get my point.
Knowing Which Risks to Take.
This will vary, since everyone’s life is different, but it is important to really think what is the worst that can happen?
If the worst you can come up is not so bad, then chances are, the risk is worth taking.
If however it is life or death, probably not.
When you Take a Risk and it Doesn’t Work Out.
Use this as a learning experience, and to make sure that you don’t keep making the same mistakes.
