Price difference on the same Slim Jim lockout tool and showing off a few items

Price difference on the same Slim Jim lockout tool and showing off a few items Well after getting a comment asking when is the next video I answered I don't know since I don't plan these out.

But after stopping by one of the two local auto parts stores in my local area I asked about the Slim Jim bar to opening car doors.

The first one quoted me a price of $40 for a lock out tool which I found very odd for a simple flat thin piece of metal with a few notches cut into it.

I even got to thinking about diy making a few Slim Jim bars using a piece of thin sheet metal bought online through Amazon for $5 for a fair sized sheet and cutting it into strips.

Google showed how simple they are to make and with using a pair of tin snips to do the cutting and than cutting a few rectangular shaped notches into the strip to make a few basic slim jim.

I went looking on Wikipedia for some history and designs and learned that HPC was the original company that had first made them isn't that interesting.

Well there are all kinds of designs for the slim Jim bar you could go basic or even traditional, wide or slim they all have the same purpose they grab the metal rod on the inside of the door frame under the weather stripping.

Some non auto parts websites have you paying $20 for one of these high carbon spring steel slim jim lock out tools.

But if you look around for lockout tools you could pay $7 for a set of lockout tools if you know where to look.

Now since I have had a certain channel doing a hashtag to me telling me pick a lock I have a few hashtags for him.

#findyourshitdarkarts

And

#dontbewastefulwithmoneydarkarts

After hearing that he lost padlock shims and was too lazy to look for them in his home he buys another set from sparrows.

No matter what job you have never be wasteful with your money, and always find your shit and keep it in its proper place.

I keep my lock picks and shims neatly organized in my Rexal zip up medical bag, a place for everything and everything in its place, I'm not wasteful with my money or my time or resources I don't lose equipment.

I also write down what I have, what it is, who makes it and what it can do this is also how you organize.

If you have more toys for locksport lock picking than Batman than organize your shit and know where and what it is and than you will never lose it if you use good common sense and intelligence.
