Why did it take so long for the threat of communist China to become more widely recognized?
And what are the key elements of the Chinese regime’s strategy to achieve global dominance?
This is American Thought Leaders 🇺🇸, and I’m Jan Jekielek.
Today we sit down with Bill Gertz, who has been a national security columnist for the Washington Times for decades, and is Senior Editor of the Washington Free Beacon. Gertz sounded the alarm about the Chinese communist threat almost 20 years ago with his book, “The China Threat.” Today, he offers perspective on where things have come since then in his newest book, titled “Deceiving the Sky: Inside Communist China’s Drive for Global Supremacy.”
We discuss communist China’s strategy of unrestricted warfare, and how Western technology has been used by the Chinese regime to create its system of “high-tech totalitarianism,” which it tries to export globally. We also look at some of Gertz’ recommendations to dealing with the communist China threat.
