Rinpoche began with the oral transmission of Lama Chopa and then spoke about Phadampa Sanggye who said that if you think that Buddha or Vajradhara is more special than your Guru, then you will never achieve realizations in your life. Recognize the Guru as more special then the Buddhas and then the realizations will come in this life. The Guru itself is the heaps of completed qualities, so with total determination in this then you will receive all the qualities of the Guru in your mind and in this way the thought of superstition, that there are mistakes in the Guru, doesn’t arise. Look at the Guru as the Tathagatas. It is not just thinking the Guru is Buddha in mere words, you should not be satisfied with that. This advice is the most important key on how to think and how to practice to quickly achieve realizations on the path to enlightenment. Then Rinpoche explained the qualities of the Guru.
