The Vantage Score, you get this on all the free Credit Monitoring apps and sites, but the only thing is it isn't real. It means nothing and will always mean nothing. It is used to lure people into websites that push toxic products mostly. Vantage is owned by the top 3 CRA's (Credit Reporting Agencies) Transunion, Equifax, Experian. They poured money up the ying yang to develop a score that could compete for market share with FICO.
It failed to do so, and so, the CRA's decided to give it away for free as an "educational tool" of sorts. I'm not sure how "educational" this "tool" is, but the sites that use it seem to do so to lure people in so they can be bombarded with toxic products such as credit cards with higher than normal interest rates, refinancing schemes and a bunch of other stuff.
I'm tired of getting the calls from people groaning about it. it isn't real. It isn't useful and it means nothing. To view your actual score get a FICO score. It isn't free, you have to pay for it.
Vantage will forever be known as the end result of 3 greedy mega corporations overreaching in hopes of pushing a proven leader out of its market share. What a**holes.
