This drink was created by Don The Beachcomber and was on the original menu at his namesake restaurant and bar in Hollywood around 1937. As you have undoubtedly heard me say, Don Beach was notorious for finding recipes on his travels and adapting them into his own thing. So following that logic, this recipe is an adapted one that I took liberties with. This drink is Don's Own Planter's Punch variation a drink which originated in the West Indies and can be traced back to around 1878.
