At least three people have been killed, and several others injured, after a shooting at an annual food festival in northern California, according to a city councilman. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump sent a tweet saying: "Law Enforcement is at the scene of shootings in Gilroy, California. Reports are that shooter has not yet been apprehended. Be careful and safe!"
The incident took place at around 5:30pm local time (00:30 GMT on Monday).
Videos posted on social media appeared to show festival attendees scattering in confusion. At least one loud popping sound can be heard in the background.
