As the first all-wheel-drive Focus, it received an electronically controlled eLSD self-locking differential. The driver can choose from several modes: Normal, Sport, Wet / Slippery and Track, which are available in the Performance package. The steering response is 15% better than the regular Focus and probably the best of all Ford's. The ST version is equipped with an active CCD suspension, which responds every 2 milliseconds.
The 2.3-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost is originally from the Focus of the previous generation RS and Mustang. The Performance Division has once again shimmered and is the result of the most powerful Focus ST of all time. That means 280 bhp and 420 Nm and acceleration from 100 km / h in less than 6 seconds.
Customers will also be able to choose the diesel version, powered by a 2.0-liter EvoBlue turbo diesel with a maximum power of 141 kW (190 hp), with a maximum torque of 400 Nm. Unlike the petrol version, the diesel ST is not equipped with a differential lock and instead uses a vector torque control. The engines come standard with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed automatic transmission.
