*“PATROL FOR HAPPY DRIVING”* Date: 27.06.2019
On the auspicious occasion of completing three years of formation of Commissionerate Rachakonda Traffic police has launched an innovative programme “Patrol for Happy Driving”. It is observed that as a result of providing awareness on following traffic rules many people have started taking safety measures like wearing Helmet, Using Seat Belt, giving proper signals from their vehicles and maintaining safe distance from other vehicles and so on. So far the police have been guard to identify traffic violators and to impose fines and to seize vehicles and so on. Now as a token of reorganization to the people following traffic laws, traffic police Rachakonda launched a unique programme which is only one of its kind in India “Patrol for Happy Driving”. In this programme Rachakonda traffic police will identify the drivers who follow traffic rules as a habit and take safety measures in driving their vehicles. Such drivers will be given stickers and certificates of appreciation. Rachakonda traffic police strongly believe that this move will spread happiness among the safe drivers as their honesty is recognized besides promoting safe traffic.
After launching this programme the Commissioner of Police Rachakonda Sri. Mahesh Bhagwat IPS, has checked some vehicles and found on lady doctor Richa and senior citizen Gopala K Surekha along with other auto & lorry drivers as safe drivers and he personally pasted Safe Driver stickers on their vehicles and honored them with a certificate. Hereafter Rachakonda traffic police will identify 8000 safe drivers and they will be honored with a sticker on their vehicle as a safe driver and a certificate as a token of their sincerity. The main aim of launching this programme is to encourage the law obeying citizens by honoring them and bring changes among the others to make them as law obeying citizens to ensure the area as accident free.
