World Blood Donor Day 2019: A campaign for safe blood for all

World Blood Donor Day is celebrated on June 14 every year to thank the voluntary blood donors for their life-saving gifts. The day creates awareness and willingness among donors and encourages them to safely donate blood regularly. Transfusions of safe blood and blood products save millions of lives every year. “Safe blood for all” is the slogan for World Blood Donor Day 2019. Rwanda is the host country for World Blood Donor Day 2019 event.
