Kevin Durant relentlessly heckled by ‘New York Knicks’ chant

Kevin Durant relentlessly heckled by ‘New York Knicks’ chant The Knicks buzz is following Kevin Durant everywhere.  As Durant’s Warriors lost Game 4 to the Rockets 112-108 in Houston on Monday to even their best-of-seven series – moving him two losses closer to free agency this summer –  one relentless Rockets fan wouldn’t let him hear the end of it.  The fan could be heard on the broadcast yelling, “New York Knicks! Go to the East Coast!” as Durant went to the free-throw line early in the game.  The result: A missed free throw from the two-time Finals MVP.  TNT broadcaster Reggie Miller, a former Knicks villain, acknowledged and had some fun with the chant.  “The fan’s behind there screaming out New York Knicks to Kevin Durant when he’s at the free throw line,” Miller said. “Does he know something that we don’t know?”  The fan could be heard again chanting “New York Knicks. New York Knicks” with 7:41 left to play in the third quarter and the Rockets up 77-60.  Durant, who despite the heckling still had 34 points, seven rebounds and five assists, of course has long been connected to the Knicks, alongside Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving.
